About the Role


Jump at this exciting opportunity to join WildBrain CPLG in the role of Business Development (BD) Analyst to join! Reporting to Executive Vice-President and Managing Director of CPLG, the BD Analyst will play an integral role in conducting research, data analysis, and providing key market insights to the senior management team.  


  • Gather company, market and competitive intelligence data to establish growth trajectories of emerging markets  
  • Identify and assess a wide range of growth areas including portfolio, office network, geographical growth, new lines of business, etc.  
  • Develop financial models, build reports/dashboards to summarize key findings  
  • Work together with other business units to collect maximum data sets and translate these to bite size reports 
  • Conduct data analysis and translate findings into impactful, action-oriented reports and observations for leadership teams 
  • Present and communicate data-driven insights to senior management team in a compelling and consumable manner   


  • Post-secondary degree with a focus in Mathematics, Data/Statistical Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related quantitative field 
  • 2+ years progressive work experience (including internship experience) conducting market research and data analytics  
  • Comfort handling, integrating, and analyzing large and complex data sets to build robust models 
  • Working knowledge of Tableau, preferably with experience using SQL  
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel  
  • A passion for learning, knowledge sharing, and collaboration  
  • Ability to work autonomously with a strong attention to detail  
  • Solid track record developing and delivering presentations to senior teams  
  • An interest in licensing, retail, entertainment, media is considered an asset
